I’m Bersis Sevimli, and I’m one of the people leading Axonode as our Head Executive and I’m genuinely happy you’re here, and I wanted to personally explain why we built this and what you can expect from it.
Why We Started Axonode
Most developer communities and networking platforms end up feeling like echo chambers. Engineers talking to engineers. Designers posting portfolios for other designers to admire. Everyone in their own lane, rarely crossing over.
We wanted something different — a place where a student with a rough idea, a designer with no one to build their vision, and a developer looking for a reason to build something new could all end up in the same room. Because that’s usually how the best things get made: not by one person doing everything alone, but by a few people with different strengths deciding to figure it out together.
So Axonode isn’t just for software engineers, and it never will be. It’s for:
- Students, first-time founders, and young creators who have an early-stage idea and need the right people — and sometimes just a little encouragement — to make it real.
- Designers who’ve got the vision and the mockups but need engineering talent to bring it to life.
- Developers looking for a UI/UX partner, a co-founder, or simply a good side project to sink their teeth into with people who are just as invested.

What Being Part of Axonode Actually Looks Like
We built Axonode to make the distance between “I have an idea” and “I’m building it with someone” as short as possible. Once you’re in, here’s what that looks like in practice:
You’ll meet people who are actually looking, too. Everyone here is either building something or looking to join something. There’s no cold networking — just people who want to make things and are open about needing collaborators to do it.
You can share early and messy, and that’s welcomed. You don’t need a polished pitch deck or a working demo to post about your idea. Half-formed thoughts are allowed. Some of the best collaborations start from someone saying “I have no idea if this is good, but here’s what I’m thinking.”
You’ll get honest, real feedback fast. Not the kind of feedback where people are just being nice — the kind where someone genuinely wants your project to succeed, so they tell you what they actually think.
How to Join
Getting in is simple, and we’ve kept it that way on purpose:
- Head over to axonode.org/join and fill out a short application telling us a bit about yourself and what you’re hoping to find or build.
- Our team reads every single application ourselves — no bots, no automated filters. We do this because we want Axonode to stay a place full of people who are genuinely here to build, not just browse. It keeps the community small enough to feel personal and high-signal enough to actually be useful to you.
- Once you’re approved, you’ll get your invite, and you can jump straight in.
That’s really it. No lengthy onboarding, no gatekeeping for the sake of it — just a quick check to make sure we’re building this with people who care as much about it as we do.
